Our garlic keeper is functional to be sure. The most common question aside from “are they oven microwave and dishwasher safe?” Is "what is this??” I tell them "It’s a garlic keeper". It keeps your garlic from sprouting by keeping it in the dark. The holes allow fresh air in so it doesn’t become stale or wet. This clay jar can be used as bakeware to cook a whole clove of garlic to compliment your bread and cheese. If you have not tried the following bakeware delicacy you really should! You can use any small Hanselmann Pottery bowl to do it. Cut the top off the garlic to expose the meat. Gently brush the whole garlic bulb with olive oil and bake until it is soft and mellow! Then Pick out each individual clove and eat them! Can you say carmelization! MMMMMM! This clay jar can also be used to with your favorite potpourri anywhere in the house. Potpourri is easy to make, smells wonderful and can be used effectively with Hanselmann Pottery.
